I could have said it better myself. The commanders in the main force you guys need to give orders.

I am frantically trying to get my Nanowrimo word count up before I can play Inquisition in a couple of hours. Had a couple of busy days and tomorrow is going to be busy as well.

My brain is fried right now. I'll post in another 800 Nano words though.

I will be going to bed early tonight anyway. Was up stupid late last night. And have a cold. I will try and look for any tags though.

So I forgot if we ever discussed this, but what is going to be the role of who can play random NPCs? can anyone just pick a random soldier at random and play them? especially since we are rotating admins having them do all or most of the army NPCs seems like an unnecessary drain when they are already focusing on the mission. I'm taking silence as a "yes"

I'm going to assume no, though we can discuss it. The current admin should be responsible for all traditional admin duties until he passes the torch, including NPCs.

I think we need to open a discussion about it and see what Smith thinks. I made my post and it's now 3 mins after midnight so let's get inquisitorial!

Have any of you heard of this? I haven't played any of Telltale Games' previous games based on other properties, but I've only heard good things about them. Very dialogue choice heavy, character-based games, sort of a cross between a visual novel and a more conventional video game. And probably quite relevant for this group's interests.
They're released in 5 $5 episodes, each of which takes maybe a couple hours to get through.

I've seen some of the images and read articles but haven't watched this one yet. I don't think I've played their other games though. I just hope it's better than the other GOT RPG and that this time there's a female character included among the 5 playable characters.

I can say that telltale is the only company who should even be allowed to try and make a GOT game.

I never played either the GOT RPG or RTS, but by all accounts they were shitty. That was in the pre-show days though, so GRRM's people could likely only find shitty companies willing to make a licensed game. The fact that HBO money is now involved should hopefully make for a better experience. The playing as various members of a minor house caught up in a conflict reminded me a little bit of Bloodgrove, to be honest, which is neat.

It reminded me of Bloodgrove as well! It should be great. I played Wolf Among Us and it was fantastic. You described the basic draw pretty well: dialogue heavy and decision based with probably the best QTE based combat system I've seen. Always great consequences for the decisions. Should be a solid fit. Plus, they have a good chunk of the HBO cast signed on.

Let's not forget that the actors playing Mormont and Varys signed up for the other one and GRRM himself had a visual cameo. I'm disinclined to think of show involvement as a sign of it being good or bad.
