So I just need to pound the last few details of Lyrica and then I will be ready to go. I think like tomorrow or Wednesday night I will be all set.
I was thinking though there really is no reason to wait on rp. The Band is in Volantis and if you guys just want to get a feel for your characters. I mean I don't see any reason why not.
Does anyone else see one? Let me know what you all think.
Start time.... we need to decide on that. Some one should make a poll I guess. Asap or later (either December or January but let's just start with later I think and not split the vote)
My vote is for sooner than later. But I am at your service.

Agreed, no reason folks can't start RPing. I just need to finish up tweaking the warfare and company management rules, then all the game mechanics will be up. None of that should be necessary for pre-game RP.

Still voting for things to start December 1. TRYING to do nanowrimo still.
Probably not doing anything for Chrostmas really. God forbid I have to sacrifice my meager work hours to visit my parents and SPEND money instead of make it

My vote would still be an early start date. But regardless of when we start, some pre-RP could be fun. As our first admin, I'd suggest you frame the scene and post the thread(s), Smith. I assume it would be right around the time when we accept this contract, but before we actually leave for Lyrica?

Aside from the stuff Zack needs to post, can someone (or several someones, ideally) go through the setting info and check whether we need to add anything else? I added some stuff a couple of days ago but there may be something I missed. We shouldn't start until we're sure the Setting details are finalised.
I personally would be happiest with an early December start because of Inquisition and Nanowrimo. I think January is too far away as we'd lose the momentum. So for me December is better than November but November is better than January.

Well there is tons of information on Essos itself now, so much that it would be impractical to record it in the Setting board. The main thing we need before we start is the identity of the Captain. A name, for starters, and whatever information we would know about him.

I meant only perhaps adding any info that is directly relevant to the group's background if needed, I certainly don't expect anyone to trawl through the book putting in massive details.
We'll need a timeline thread at some stage but it's not essential yet.

Well I am work but what I was thinking is just throw a sub folder in Volantis for The Ashen Band encampment.
You guys can just be hanging out around the camp ground. Some one could make dining tent or camp kitchen thread where people can group together and RP. Though I assume the commanders probably have Inn rooms in the city.
I will also start a thread for the commanders dinner with the captain.
If people want to go into the city that should be fine.
I figure right now there ate wrote a few army camps around the city. Not just mercenaries but lots of the forces the city has summoned.
