Hey guys
Just a quick message before I leave the house . We'll need some setting info written up in the Setting board. This will include stuff pulled from the Dragons threads, such as:
-Exact year. I assume we'll use the BC (Before Conquest?) dating system as we're all familiar with the Conquest as a dating point. -Details on the founding of the company -Company details such as name, motto and banner. Are we definitely going with The Ashen Band? We agreed on the words and I think we were roughly clear on the phoenix banner. Not sure if we need other details?
We also need to be clear on the admin procedures. My thought was each successive admin would use the admin account I set up but that creates the issues of multiple people with access to the same account and any private boards with planning details. So my thought is that we pass the details to anyone else who wants to help finishing the set up, currently the people with access are myself, Orys, Smith and Zack, and once we're ready Smith changes the password during his tenure then passes it on to the next person who changes it again.
Additionally we could set up a couple of people with Global Moderator accounts for housekeeping purposes.
Anyway, got to run!

We might as well use our own dating system of AD (After the Doom). What do you think?

I wondered about that but if we get further into the known history it might be nice to have a comparison to how things are going in Westeros as well. So if we use our own dates I think we should monitor how they relate to the Conquest as well for ease of reference.

I like that idea. I mean we have no reason to use the same dating system as in Westeros, but it is good to have a standard for comparison

Also, it will be a lot easier to use the history we're given when we visit places where dates are given, and adapt that to our needs than to start from scratch
