Please Follow Along Step by Step for character creation. YOU MAY NOT POST YOUR CHARACTER IN THIS THREAD. Post it in its own thread and one of your fellow players will check the math and approve it.
Step 1: Determine Character's Name, Age, and Ethnicity
Step 2: Determine Character's Status and Role within the Company. This will determine your status rank.
1: Someone who is not a member of the company at all, like a slave who carries the baggage.
2: An ordinary member of the company, entitled to his cut of the pay and a vote for the Captain, but with no power to command.
3: A minor officer or respected person, who might for instance have his own squad or provide a special service to the company. They get a larger share of the profits than the rank and file.
4: A major officer, below only the Captain in the company's hierarchy. They might command a wing of the company in battle or be empowered to negotiate and accept contracts on the company's behalf.
5: The Captain. The Captain is elected by his fellows, usually but not always from the officers. Once elected he serves for life and has the power to appoint all officers below him.
Step 3: Select Attributes
All characters will have 210 points to spend on Attributes
All Abilities start at Rank 2 Unless raised by the player:
Attribute Rank to Experience Cost:
3d: 10
4d: 40
5d: 70
Remember that your STATUS IS an Attribute. So you must PAY to Raise it to whatever you selected it to be to start. If you get promoted to a higher rank through RP (or are elected Captain) you get the corresponding increase in Status for free. Starting characters would have to be Status 2, 3, or 4.
Your character must have Knowledge 3 to be able to read and write.
