Lewyn grinned. "The legions are dead, Captain, and old Valyrian discipline with 'em. Killers is as good as you'll find these days, I reckon. But never you fear, boss, your good officers will straighten these boys right out before we get to Lyrica." The Rhoynishman drummed his fingers on the grip of his lance and winked. "Besides, if we can take down a dragonlord, I think we can handle some nomads and horse bandits, eh Captain?"

Draconis whistles quietly, inspecting an arrow as his horse shifts, sharing its master's restlessness. "Yes, it's a great idea, I know. Look at all of the money we're making right now." Draconis pat the horse's head as he spoke, seemingly enjoying a conversation with it as they waited. An Archer that was walking behind the second in command spits loudly to his side, "We may be getting money, but I'll bet my arse that what money we be earnin' y'all higher ups will be takin' mor'in their share." He says not so silently to the archer by his side glaring up at the horsed archer.

"Speak another word out of line and we will see who is earning their keep." Draconis turned to smile at the man behind him, still holding the arrow he had been inspecting.

The man scoffs, "Ain't my turn for latrine duty this week, that role goin' to Naythen over yonder." He says jutting a thumb over his shoulder to another archer who was looking miserable after the march and the idea of digging out shit holes.

"Latrine duty would be an honor to what I have in mind. Some would have your tongue for insulting your superiors. I would simply leave you to the Dothraki."

"Doubt the Cap'n would be pleased if you start killin' off his men, before battle. Bad omen that, some commanders that threaten that often don't live past the next battle." The man replied, with several other archers in the ranks nodding slightly, though to which part was unsure.

"Attempt to disrupt the formation or cause strife and I will have a thousand different reasons to explain why some of our men are providing live target practice for the entire camp." With another smile, Draconis turned and faced forward, resuming his whistling.

"You will if I wish it. Another benefit of being one of those higher-ups." Finishing the inspection, Draconis places the arrow back into his quiver and grabs another one, repeating the process.

"Don't underestimate me on either matter, you'd be surprised how far a little gold can go."

"Ain't that the truth." The man responds. "I ain't gettin' no gold for this though, that's your gold we earnin'. "

The only discipline in Valyria the last hundred years was in the soldiers." Faerun answered. He did not dispute the second point.

Lewyn merely nodded at that point. He waited to see what the sudden stop was for, eyes still scanning off into the distance.

The mercenary captain waits until the maneuvers are complete and then he summons his commanders to his location. He frowns grimly at their slow pace.
